tripp lee :: real vision 13 February 2009

two loves of mine, music and film. put the two together and i start foaming at the mouth. there is something about music videos that drives me, i would love to produce a few in the future, lord willing.
my boys at reach records just dropped their newest music video by trip featuring tedashii. you can watch in hd if you can keep up. here is my opinion on this final edit. first with the cons. I love the text concept, i have been wanting to do a project like this for a long time. aside from some minimal poor acting by some extras the only thing i would have done differently is match the text to motion better with the words coming out of the megaphones (ie. match moving). there are two programs in mind that help do this, apple shake and boujou. boujou is amazing and is the industry standard when it comes to feature films. the pros to this video are endless. i love the pop style text, however i do wish the text coming out the the phones was done in a dot matrix pop. that would have put it over the top in my book. the soapbox and the street corner are theme spot on and so is the overall color. props to tripp for the song itself. we all know tripp and t-da are legends and who ever directed this is legit.
in the end the most important thing was done and done well. and that is the gospel was shared and the message was clear :: the world is a flood of polluted knowledge; let the bible be your filter.
