i hate the color but i love the camera 16 March 2009

for the past two weeks i have been making a hit list for things needed to start my film career. here are my top two assassins.

#1 :: red one :: i hate the color red. from elementary school all the way to college my schools colors were always blue and our rivals were always red. to this day i still don’t own a red shirt (with the exception of an england kit a womens ENT member gave me). so, i hate the color. but i love this camera.redcamerared” cameras are changing the industry by leaps and bounds. take a look a the graph below. the darkest shaded box is your standard 1080 hd resolution ratio. the “red one” trumps it by 2k!! while the epic edition is an absolute landslide.

red resolution comparison lets not forget that this is all at 12 megapixel, which is unheard of in the video camera industry. this puppy can even capture 120 frames a second at 2k. now don’t start hating on my geeky side. as i have said before, on the inside, im black and im techie (but not of the trekkie persusasion).

#2 :: canon 5d mark ii :: this 21 megapixel sitll camera is the mecca of the photo world and going to majorly influence the video world starting now. it has the ability to capture 1920 x 1080 res and does amazing in low light. this hd short was filmed on the 5d by barlow elton using a steady tracker, a local mall, canons new 5d and his kidos.

so, who wants to chip in?

since your still here, what do you think about this blog?
