a few friends and i lettered in prank calling in college. co host clay “speedy claxton” and i blessed many lives with our awkward antics. with the help of a few instigators cheering us on (dr. dre, back out hanson and “i’ll call you in while in same room” murph just to name a few), we created a couple impromptu games i would like to pass onto the next promising generation.
- “your on the air” :: with the voice talent of a award winning radio host, call lucky contestant #143 and tell them what they have won. only after answering some ridiculous game show questions of course. for example “name that tune” only you have to sing the song title. like “oops i did it again..” don’t forget to have a few irrelevant prizes in mind. we tended to stick to livestrong bracelets, a sony walkman and two way pager.
- “you a big girl?” :: so my alter ego (a large african american UK football tight end #77) used to call up the ladies in search of a date for the club. many said yes, zero showed up.
- stalkbook :: with the help of a friends fb account find someone the caller may or may not know that is of the opposite sex. the instigators will have pen and paper in hand while the caller must start a conversation on speaker phone. while the caller keeps the callie talking the instigators will taylor make 5 pick up lines as the conversation develops. the goal is to deliver all 5 with the bonus round of a lunch date.
- 5 for 5 :: write down 5 inappropriate PG words/statements that have to come up within the conversation. call a number and hand the phone to the talker. the object of the game is to say all 5 words/statements within a legit conversation without the person hanging up on you.
